Thank you for your interest in our 4th Annual Santa's Merry Makers Market, which will be held on Saturday, December 12 from Noon - 5 PM at the Historic Sydenstricker Schoolhouse! We are inspired by the creativity and talent in our community, and are excited for another festive, family-focused celebration of hyper-local crafters, artists, bakers and authors. Whether you are a brand new crafter or a seasoned craft fair pro, we aim to make this event enjoyable and successful for all.
This year all of our vendors will be outdoors. We are sure this will be disappointing for many of you who have participated in previous years in the cozy warmth of the schoolhouse. Multiple factors have necessitated this change, and we are confident that it will work out very well. The outdoor area around the schoolhouse has a festive, almost magical air, reminiscent of the old world holiday markets of Europe, plus there is plenty of room to spread out! Hot chocolate will be available, and the schoolhouse will be open for warming up. We will also have a limited number of covered outdoor spaces under our tents available for folks who prefer to be sheltered.
Since this is a holiday event, we focus on unique, giftable items and holiday decor. Because we love supporting local talent and prioritize handmade items we are unable to accept national direct-sales brands (such as Mary Kay or Pampered Chef, etc.), except for special circumstances.
Please email us (info@sydenstrickerschoolhouse.org) so we can get to know you and ensure your items are a great fit for our market. Send us answers to the following questions and anything else you would like to share, as well as any questions you have for us:
- What types of items do you make and sell?
- Are you a local resident, or, (if applicable) where is your business based?
- Link to your shop, website, or social media (if applicable).
Once we receive your email and have reviewed your information, we'll send over the official vendor registration form and fee information.
Thanks again for your interest, We look forward to hearing from you!

vendor information
vendor spaces
This year all of our vendors will be outdoors. No indoor space will be available. We offer either an (approximately) 8' x 5' space or a 10' x 10' space. You can bring your own tables, chairs and/or tent provided they fit in your space. We offer tables as well as a limited number of covered spaces under our tents. Vendors are responsible for any display props, including hanging materials/signs/etc. All tents MUST be anchored with stakes or weights on all legs. Electrical hook-ups are very limited. Please contact us in advance of the event if you have electrical needs.County, offering insights into historical education methods.
booth set up
Volunteers will be present to direct vendors to their assigned area for set-up beginning two hours prior to the event start time. All vendors must be completely set up 15 minutes prior to the event start and remain set-up and in place until the event end time. Any vendor wishing to leave early MUST notify us. We count on our vendors to stay for the entire event, so please do not leave early unless it is absolutely necessary.
booth decorations & signage
Vendors are encouraged to proudly display company banner and signage to identify their business. Vendors are responsible for accepting payments from purchasers and are responsible for reporting sales tax. Remember, you do not need to have a business to participate -- beginning crafters are encouraged to sign up as well! We have had young artisans and scout groups participate in the past. Let us know if you have any questions, or you just need encouragement to make this your FIRST craft fair!
Vendor Application & Confirmation
In order to participate please email us and tell us a little about why you would like to participate and what you will be selling. Once we have reviewed your response we will invite you to complete the Vendor Registration Form and submit the Vendor Fee. When we have received the completed form and your payment, you will receive an email confirming your participation in the event. As we get closer to the day of the event, you will receive additional updates from us about vendor set up, parking, break down and other pertinent information. Please make sure to check your spam folder in case you do not see emails from us 1-2 weeks before the event. Please add our email address to your contact list so you receive important event communication from us.
Theft, Loss & personal Responsibility
To make sure everyone has a safe and successful day, we have a few practical details to cover. By participating, you agree to take full responsibility for your business, your equipment, and your actions, and to protect and hold UPCL and our board members harmless if any claims, damages, or injuries happen to arise from your booth. Since event turnouts and sales can fluctuate based on many factors, we cannot guarantee specific attendance numbers or profit levels, and UPCL isn't responsible for any financial losses or lost sales.
We always hope for perfect weather and smooth sailing, but sometimes unexpected emergencies happen—like severe weather, venue issues, or public health concerns. If something outside of our control forces us to cancel or reschedule, UPCL won't be held liable for any costs you incurred, but we will always do our best to communicate changes quickly. We truly appreciate your cooperation in keeping this event safe and fun for everyone!
The UPCL shall not be responsible for any theft, loss, or damage occurring before, during, or after the event, including during set-up and breakdown periods. Vendor is solely responsible for securing their booth and belongings at all times.
media & marketing release
Vendor grants the UPCL the right to photograph and use images of Vendor’s booth and products during the event. Materials may be used for promotional purposes including to websites, social media, advertising, press releases, sponsorship materials, and future marketing efforts without prior approval. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
cancellations & refunds
We need YOU to make our event really great, so we need your commitment to be there. WE DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS FOR CANCELLATIONS, and the vendor fee is Non-Refundable. Vendor fees pay our wonderful Santa Claus, and any remaining profit goes toward the maintenance and preservation of our historic schoolhouse. We anticipate holding the event, no matter the weather (Santa Claus will be inside, so the event WILL go on!) However, if we do need to cancel the event with no rescheduled date set, the vendor fees will be refunded. If you are unable to attend the event due to circumstances outside your control, please give us as much advanced notice as possible so we can find another vendor to take your spot.
it's all about community!
Remember that we are here to celebrate our community, and the incredible talent and generosity of our neighbors and friends. We ask you to be kind, gracious and patient. Thank you for your support!
